Still around and kickin

It has been awhile since my dad has posted, as he has been tired a lot lately and has had some difficulties with being on the laptop to type as it strains his eyes and sometimes gives him a little bit of a headache. So I decided I would update everyone on what has been going on.

First of all I want to congratulate my dads sister (my aunt) Gail and her now husband Donald on their marriage in August, all the best to you guys, and thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for all of us, but especially for my dad.

Now onto the other stuff....MRI results are back from the secondary test that they had to do because of the initial one coming back as inconclusive as to if the cells that they saw were necrosis or the tumor coming back. What they saw was necrosis, but there is also a tiny bit of residue showing that could be the starts of the portion of the tumor that they had removed coming back. Just going to keep staying positive, it has been nearly a year and he is still here fighting this.

He is still on his chemo, 21 days on, a week off, it does not effect him whatsoever, so knock on wood that continues.

He has been having some trouble with walking lately, he stumbles a lot and sometimes almost falls. The physio ordered him a walker for when he goes for walks, and a wheelchair for when we go places and he is feeling tired, but my dad is my dad and he is a stubborn, proud man and wont use either. (Some things never change lol)

I guess this is it for now...oh wait, he goes for another MRI on the 16th of October and also to discuss the option of possible day surgery to remove the necrosis that is there. Will update as we get more info.
